With the recession really hitting us small businesses hard it seems that more and more people are not paying there invoices.

The one thing that is most important when you do work for clients is to be very careful of CASH PAYMENTS. Rogue Customers use this as a bait to lure you in and you maybe walking in to something you regret, as there is normally no paperwork with cash jobs it makes it easier to for the rogue customers to get away with not paying you. Make sure if you do that everything you do is agreed, written down and signed for this way at least you have a fair chance in court as you will have a paper trail to prove what has been done. Another good way is to keep photographic details of the jobs you are doing so you can always refer back if needed the digital age can help and its cheap!!
