At the moment if a customer purchases goods from you and then they get the goods and then decide not to pay you the only course of action open is to take civil action against them.

This can take months or even years to resolve. In the meantime small companies lose out because they can’t afford to fight in court if the customer tries to counterclaim against you. Surely if something is purchased from you and not paid for it should be classed as stealing.

We at Roguecustomer.com are fighting to get some simple law changes put in place to protect us. The consumer is well over protected and seems to always win on the day.

We at Roguecustomer.com would like the Government to look into ways of protecting against such things happening.

This is what we aim to do:

If goods are not paid for we should be able to go to the courts to obtain a document that states within 90 days of non-payment we can come to the property and remove all of our goods. Why should they be able to keep what’s ours? It’s legal theft
We aim to lobby to make court hearings simpler and make sure good mediation is in place. Where a job has been done well it should be paid for.
When a customer signs a contract it should be legally binding.
We aim to set up a governing body to help us to see customers that refuse to pay and ask why they won’t pay for quality work.

First and foremost – we must make a stand against customers who won’t pay.

Please sign our petition to help bring about change – together we can make it happen.
